High quality king size bed, 55″ Smart TV, second 30″TV, fully equipped kitchen, inner city center with many restaurants, cafés, bars and shops in the surrounding area. Two metro stops close by. The apartment is situated in a residential building of modernist style built around 1904 by the architect Maurici Augé Robert who was also author to other elegant buildings and houses of similar style built in the Eixample district of Barcelona and one of the candidates for the construction of the Columbus monument for the preparation of the Expo 1888. The building is characterized by a rich stone ornamentation such as the Salomonic columns and the busts carved into the lintels, specially the one dominating the front door.
The apartment itself is as unique as the building. The owner of the apartment has taken care of the decoration himself, as owner of a high end furniture and decoration business that also through the close relationship between his family and Salvador Dalí, has collaborated in the furnishing of well known buildings such as the Teatre-Museu Dalí in Figueres, the Casa-Museu Salvador Dalí in Portlligat and the Casa-Museu Castell Gala Dalí in Púbol.
Our guests in this apartment enjoy a spacious living room with a white sofa, 2 classy arm chairs and a glass dining table with 6 chairs, a 55” smart TV and DVD player. From the living room there is access to two balconies from where one can overview the street down to the corner of Rambla de Catalunya. There is a lot of natural light coming through two big windows. The bedroom comes with a king size bed and with a mattress of highest quality. In front of the bed, in the white cupboard there is the second TV (30”) for guests who enjoy watching TV from the bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern high end appliances and everything else one would require to prepare and enjoy a meal in the apartment. Further on at the guest’s disposal are fridge, freezer, oven, stove, washer, dryer, dish washer, toaster, coffee maker, juicer, kettle as well as an iron and an iron board. The bathroom in this apartment offers a sink, WC and a spacious walk in shower.
The building’s community is quiet and friendly.
The apartment and the area are safe. During the day there is a doorman in the building. In order to get into the apartment one would have to pass 3 solid doors (building door, staircase door and apartment door) all equipped with security locks.
Located on the corner with Rambla de Catalunya in the most beautiful part of the Eixample district, this apartment offers the guest the best of both worlds; close enough to Plaza Cataluña, Las Ramblas, La Boqueria market, El Born or the Gothic Quarter which all can be reached within 10 minutes walking down gorgeous Rambla de Catalunya. On the other hand famous sights such as La Pedrera and Casa Batlló are just a stone through from the apartment. Also Sagrada Familia, the symbol of Barcelona can be reached walking within about 15 minutes. Paseo de Gracia; 2 blocks from the apartment is Barcelona’s wealthiest avenue. Here is where all the famous designer brands have their stores.
There is cute little bakery right next door and the area itself is filled with quality tapas restaurants, shops and cafés.

We have a selection of restaurant and tapas bar recommendations prepared and will advise where to find the next grocery store, about shop opening hours, etc.. ***** Had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! Its location was just perfect and incredibly convenient. Close to my favorite restaurant in Barcelona and to everything I enjoy doing while visiting. I used it as a home base for a number of trips throughout Europe. As well as the joy of being in Barcelona. The host and his assistants were a delight to work with. Always so responsive and helpful in every way. Just an absolutely perfect visit staying at the most convenient and comfortable apartment one could possibly hope for.

Walking distance to almost everything from a variety of restaurants to Barcelona’s 5th Ave [Passeig de Garcia], local supermarkets, bakeries as well as easy access to multiple metro stations. Being we were there in January where the weather could be chilly, central heating and washer/dryer combo were a BIG plus. Thank you Marcel for being a great host. We enjoyed our stay tremendously

***** A lovely apartment in a great location. close to metro and train, but not in the center of the crowds.
Marcel is a master host. Very responsive to any questions. He even has a YouTube playlist to demonstrate how everything works.

***** What can I say? I booked my holiday based on the dates Marcel’s apartment was available. It is that good! and he is a very accommodating host who ensures he makes your stay as comfortable as possible. The apartment has everything you need which makes it so convenient (love the washing machine / dryer) and the air-condition, and high security of the building. The location is like no other, imagine walking 5 minutes to be in front of Casa Battio and all the fancy shops and restaurants. Truly superb. ***** I stayed 12 weeks in this apartment during a very hot summer of 2022. I liked everything about the apartment including the excellent air conditioning, comfortable king bed, and nice bathroom. Also, the location was perfect for exploring Barcelona as it is very central. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and lots of shopping opportunities. Metro is near as well. I did not cook much but kitchen was very nice for breakfast and coffee.
***** Let me start off by saying… I didn’t want to leave! I felt very comfortable and SAFE here. I debated staying at other locations in the city, but after a month I can tell you this is the best choice. Only a few blocks from the metro, many restaurants, nightlife and shopping. I will miss getting my coffee and pastry from the bakery two doors down. The building requires three different keys to access the apartment, and there is a doorman M-F. I have trouble sleeping but slept very well in the bed and I didn’t have any issues with noise. The apartment is very spacious, clean and has everything you need for a long stay. I use zoom 100% for my work, and the internet worked perfectly without interruptions. Marcel messaged me upon my arrival at the airport and also offered follow up support to ensure I had a great experience. Please don’t hesitate booking this apartment!
***** I cannot recommend this Airbnb enough! Marcel was a fabulous host and the home was beautiful. When I had to check in early or extend my stay, Marcel was incredibly helpful and quick to respond. The location is very close to attractions but far enough away to give you a feel for a local experience. The home itself was beautiful – bed super comfortable and surfaces/bathroom/kitchen clean. The two balconies also bring in wonderful fresh air and a great view of the street. I would recommend this home to all! Thank you, Marcel!
***** Excellent place to stay in an area with so much to offer. Marcel’s apartment is wonderfully appointed, with high quality furnishes throughout. The couch is easily the most comfortable I’ve ever had in an Airbnb. The neighborhood has so much to offer, with incredible cafes, restaurants and nightlife nearby.
The shower water temperature and pressure is excellent. The bed is on the firmer side, but is a really high quality mattress. After a day or two, I was sleeping like normal.
Because of how the neighborhood is designed, road noise is a bit elevated outside, and that noise does make its way into the apartment. It didn’t impact us sleeping though because the bedroom doors do a great job at greatly reducing the noise.
***** I loved everything about this apartment but the added bonus was Marcel. While I didn’t meet him in person his responsiveness along with the wonderful lady who I did meet was remarkable.
So kind, never made me feel like I was a bother.
I had just left the US for a year of travel and Barcelona was my first stop.
Quick note if your are working – Wi-Fi is top notch also the bread shop next door makes the best olive bread and everyone is so nice.
I fell in love with the apartment and the city. I’ll be back.

***** A really nice apartment – within walking distance to the old town, museums, sights, great restaurants and bakeries. The place is near Placa de Catalunya, which is a major train station that can easily connect you with other areas of town.
The apartment is located in a beautiful historic building, but the apartment itself is very modern and beautifully updated.
Additionally, I worked remotely from the apartment for a period of time, and the internet speed was excellent, which was much appreciated.
Finally, Marcel has done a fantastic job communicating everything well in advance, answering questions and generally making sure that I am enjoying my stay.

***** What can I say about this incredible apartment that hasn’t already been said? It’s a beautiful space, exceptionally clean, well-designed and SO quiet. You cannot hear neighbours or any other building noise whatsoever. The air conditioning / heater work better than any I have experienced in Spain so you will have no problems finding your perfect temperature. The bed was VERY comfy and the pillows….I had no idea latex pillows were so wonderful! I’ll be buying some of my own very soon. 😉 And Marcel is a very thorough communicator – responsive and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough! I’d give it 6-stars if that were an option.
