Marcel was a great host. He responded to our questions very quickly. The apartment was very clean and included all the items to make our stay comfortable. The tutorial videos provided prior to our arrival was a great touch and provided confidence on how to operate some of the household appliances like the stovetop, washer/dryer, etc. Marcel was also very helpful in arranging transportation for us to and from the airport!

The apartment was surprisingly quiet since it was located in a bustling location. We also felt very secure with the building where the apartment was located in as well as the apartment itself.

The location was very convenient as it was close to points of interest like Plaza de Cataluna, La Rambla, Casa Mila / La Pedrera, Casa Batlló, etc. There were lots of excellent restaurants within walking distance as well as a metro stop right outside the front door.

We highly recommend this apartment (and Marcel) and will look to book again on our next trip to Barcelona!

Spacious apartment for our group of five in an ideal location on Passeig de Gràcia, making it walkable to so many major attractions, restaurants, shopping, La Rambla, and the Gothic Quarter. Supermarket and 24hr convenience store just steps away. Plus, access to metro right at the front door makes it super easy to take public transit all over Barcelona. Apartment was well equipped and exactly as pictured and described in the listing. Very quiet bedrooms led to restful sleep. Marcel the host is extremely responsive and helpful throughout the booking and stay. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Marcel’s apartment. The location is amazing with the Metro station literally in front of the building and so close to Place de Catalunya. The apartment is roomy and very well equipped, homely and comfortable. The double balconies look out over the Main Street and are a great vantage point for watching the world go by. The street is busy but the apartment is silent once the windows are shut and with the shutters down in the bedroom I slept better than I had in years. The mattresses/pillows are extremely comfortable so much so I have looked into buying one for myself at home.

Marcel was an excellent host responding to any queries we had very swiftly. We had a small issue with the bath in the en-suite but Marcel responded straight away and was at the front door within 10 mins to sort the problem out.

I would 100% recommend staying here.

This really was a very convenient location, and surprisingly quiet even though it was by the street and subway (which we could feel occasionally). I never even brought out my earplugs. One important note though, is to read the instructions for checking in carefully! I was not used to needing an appointment. It is not a self check-in place! The benefit of having an appointment was that we were given a personal explanation of the workings of the apartment. The binder provided to us had lots of local info and apartment instructions and was very professionally put together.

We had a wonderful stay here with our family of five. Check-in was seamless, and the location couldn’t have been better - we walked everywhere we wanted to go. The space was perfect for us, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Ithe views from the balcony were amazing. Zero complaints at all- highly recommend!

What an amazing apartment! The building is stunning and on the best street in Barcelona. The apartment itself has all the modern amenities. The central air conditioner was very welcomed after touring around Barcelona under the heat. The communication with Marcel was flawless. We want to thank Jose for the warm welcome. We hope to be back!

We had a lovely stay and a wonderful host who went above and beyond! We ran into a small issue with the water, and it was addressed within 3 hours. Couldn’t be more appreciative. Some folks forget these are homes, and issues can arise, just like they do at your own home. What amazed us was the rapid response and communication. Can’t wait to head back to Barca!

We loved staying in Marcel's home. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We were a group of five people and we had plenty of room to relax. Thanks to the sofa bed, everyone had their own bed to sleep in too. The home was well equipped with a dishwasher, a washer and dryer, as well as detergent, paper towels, and coffee. Marcel was excellent with communication. He even provided a YouTube video about how to work the appliances. He also was able to let us store our luggage in the apartment, for a short time after checkout. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about Marcel's apartment or his friendly and helpful communication. I highly recommend a stay here.
